Description
Our Fir honey is harvested on Mount Taygetos, the highest peak in the Peloponnese, during the summer months of June and July. The bees move freely among the fir trees in remote forested areas, far away from human intervention. The result is this exquisite nectar that is carefully and gently extracted by our beekeeper, retaining all of its richness, nutrition, and healing properties.
Available in three sizes: 127gr, 275gr, 400gr
Tasting notes: Sophisticated and balanced. Infused with the essence of the mountain flora. Warm notes of caramel and toffee.
Serving suggestions: Your yogurt has been waiting for this honey its whole life! It’s amazing as a topping for waffles, pancakes, and oatmeal, and excellent paired with sheep and goat cheeses like Tuscan Pecorino. Try it drizzled on vanilla ice cream with cinnamon and walnuts. Yum!
Serving & Storage
Do not feed honey to infants under one year of age.
Store at room temperature.
This honey variety is naturally lower in moisture and sugar and more resistant to crystallization. Should your honey crystallize, place the jar in a warm water bath (not over 100 degrees) until crystals melt and it re-liquifies.
